God of Death: Mortem (Head Sketches)

Here's Mortem, God of Death also known as the Great Horned Crow
Some concept sketches I did of him, trying to get the feel for what I wanted him to look like. Tough part is he's a shapeshifter who looks different for every person who sees him. So I did his standard form, the form a living person would see him as. Also his human form because he can assume it, again though he can appear how he wants. 

As you can see with the first try one I wanted him to have a head dress...but it didn't fit with the skull look I wanted. So, despite me wanting to avoid it, he has spikes and horns. The ones at the side, with joints can move :3

His lower jaw often isn't visible, but he still manages to speak without moving it, so him showing it can me more of a show of anger. The inside of his mouth is just pure white light but the light never escapes past his teeth.
